cadence's honest lyrics and emotional instrumentals strive to answer that question. every song starts somewhere, and sometimes that's within yourself. "songwriting has always been some sort of a therapy for me," cadence says. "if I'm struggling with something, it makes its way into my music, and sometimes there are others who are struggling, too. that's how you connect with people - you write your truth."
isn't it hell, her debut single, was written during a time when she fought to put on a smile when inside, everything was crumbling. it goes to those who feel like they have to fake being "okay," whatever that looks like, and to give them the courage to take off the mask and breathe for a moment.
sunset released soon after, an acoustic-pop song about the simple joys of being in love. whether it's a word of encouragement or a picture of a sunset, they're always there to make you smile :)
